Taking the leap!

Yesterday was a big step for our brand and for me personally. The Redbar Group - Boston Chapter hosted a meetup at The Andover Shop. Members that were in attendance brought multiple pieces from their collection, ranging from unique pieces, luxury brands, to even watches that were made as far back as the 1940s. What did I bring? I brought our brand's catalog.

This was the first time that our in-house catalog was shown to the public (in person). This was a huge milestone; as a brand, this is the first time we are showing and allowing potential clients to physically see and handle our watches. As an individual, this is the first time that potential clients have seen my work as an aspiring watchmaker and business owner. Yesterday was excited and nerve wracking.

Taking the leap is difficult; emotions were running high yesterday. However, taking a page out of our brand's book, having "Nintai" helped us succeed and enjoy the night. We showcased our watches, talked about building them, noted important feedback that was provided, and even teased that our shop will be opening soon (wink wink, hint hint). Most importantly, we took the leap.

Yesterday was filled with great lessons...

1. Show pride in what you do; be proud of showing your work, and always open to feedback.

2. Have fun; enjoying what you do in life is a key factor in what makes life worth living

3. Enjoy your company; everyone comes from different walks of life. However, different gives you an avenue to learn more about the people, the places, and the world.

4. Nintai; your ability to endure what you feel is unbearable or difficult will help you grow and succeed.

Yesterday was a wonderful night, filled with good company, beautiful watches, and a personal example of what happens when you have Nintai.

We want to thank Redbar for allowing us to showcase our pieces for the first time in public, and thank The Andover Shop for hosting the event. We look forward to more events in the future with the group.
